Constitutionalism

OSIWA supports the involvement of civil society in the review and development of national constitutions. OSIWA supports efforts to decentralize power through constitutional change.

Electoral processes

OSIWA supports civil society initiatives that ensure and develop mechanisms to promote free and fair elections, an essential building block for democracy. OSIWA also supports projects that provide ongoing civic education and related initiatives that bolster the transition from military/dictatorial regimes to democratic governance. OSIWA further assists organizations that engage youth in the electoral process.
